I hope you "believe the promises of God"

While going through my notes, I found this statement I wrote sometime in November of last year. During this time in my life I was employed at an establishment that made me struggle everyday (I literally cried before going to work), financial difficulties and grieving from the death of my grandmother. My whole life felt like a ball of clay that was being continuously warped into a new shape/form. That shape was a pancake, lol.

In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, it says "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."

I remember reading scriptures like this and becoming filled with frustration because I felt crushed, in despair abandoned and destroyed by my circumstances and ultimately by God.

However, I MADE IT THROUGH with God!

The scripture in James 1:2-5 means so much to me. 💛 It says to consider it pure JOY whenever you face trials of many kinds because when your faith is tested, it produces PERSEVERANCE. When you allow perseverance to be applied to your life, you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in ANY way.

Ultimately, I say this because after pondering on my life, I'm now grateful for the trials God allowed. It allowed me to redefine what it meant to live a "good life." Although I felt 100% discouraged, I was able to remember God's promises for me and be victorious in Christ. If you're currently feeling like this, I encourage you to pray fervently and without ceasing.

Lastly, to believe the promises of God. 🌟 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Isaiah 40:31

I hope you bloom,

Joyce 🤍
